Imagine! recently completed construction on the Longmont SmartHome, which puts Longmont at the epicenter of a new way of providing care services utilizing technology to enhance the lives of people with disabilities.  Solar Eclipse Shades was honored to participate in the project by providing all the motorized UV shades for the Longmont SmartHome. All of the shades are motorized and automated via RS232 to the main control panel for the home.

“The Longmont SmartHome is the most advanced home automation project that Solar Eclipse Shades has participated in to date,” according to Wayne Puglisi, owner of Solar Eclipse Shades.  The Longmont SmartHome will also serve as a site for research into the use of technology to benefit the long term needs of disabled individuals in both residential and family home settings.
