MARRIOTT RESORT PROJECT

MARRIOTT RESORT PROJECT

October 29, 2009  |  Commercial

The Marriott Cypress Harbor Resort in Orlando, Florida, was seeking to re-design a covered courtyard area that was confined by columns and a conventional roofing structure. According to the architect, the eating area lacked openness and natural light. SKYShades proposed the 40′ X 40′ canopy shown in the picture.  The design utilizes a 43 ft tall center mast with a sail attached to reflect the Marriott’s logo. The conic roofing structure is a Teflon Coated Fiberglass fabric (PTFE) that is wind rated to 130mph and has a 35+ year life expectancy. Tension membrane structures demand a high degree of specialist knowledge and experience in the design, engineering, fabrication and installation stages. The Marriott Cypress Harbor project installation required that our structure had to be lifted over an existing building and around a large oak tree on the premise. SKYShades can mobilize our technical staff, who have over 150 years experience in manufacturing tension membrane shade structures, to provide solutions to our clients needs with the highest level of confidence. The Marriott Cypress Harbor Resort also purchased several resort umbrellas and shade sails for their property from SKYShades. We would love the opportunity to discuss how our products might benefit your business. Please contact us for more information.
